I went through Bilo today and grabbed a few things that I had coupons for.  I went through the self checkout and scanned my Bilo Card AFTER I scanned my coupons...reason being is that they will give you the full value of the coupon instead of the sale price!  Wait to scan your card until right before you are ready to pay. 
Here's the breakdown:
6 Green Giant Frozen Vegetables - $1.00 (Had 6-$.50 coupons that doubled so they were all FREE!!)
6 Powerade Zero - $.69 (Had 3 B1G1 Free Coupons  - got the regular price value for them which was $1.39 - so all of them were FREE + I made a few cents)
3 Philadephia Cream Cheese - $1.25 (Had 3 $.55 coupons that doubled so only $.15 each)
2 Dixie Crystal Sugar - $1.99 (Had 2 $.50 coupons which doubled so only $1.00 each)
1 Betty Crocker Cookie Mix - $1.00 (Had 1 $.40 coupon which doubled so only $.20)
1 McCormick Gravy Mix - $.79 (Had 1 $.75 coupon so only $.04)
3 Diet Dr. Peppers - $1.69 (Had 3 $.55 coupons which doubled so only $.59 each)
4 Jello Molds from Jello that were FREE when you made a purchase.
The total amount I paid after all my coupons was only - $3.30 and I saved $37.28!!

WOW WHAT A TUESDAY NIGHT!!

Ok - so me and my neighbor, Bridget have a weekly ritual on Tuesday night to go out and hit up Bilo and Publix and buy the weekly sales specials before they go off sale.  This is what I purchased tonight:

I know there are alot of photos, but I bought ALOT of stuff.  I actually spent more money than I usually do grocery shopping but as you can see I got some expensive items at the grocery store this week.  Here is the breakdown:

My total BEFORE COUPONS was $489.22.  My total AFTER COUPONS and SALE DISCOUNTS was $88.11.  That is a discount of $401.11!!  That is an 82% DISCOUNT.  I usually spend less than $50 a week on my family of 5 and we eat at home like Kings.  All of my cabinets are full.  I have 2 refridgerators/freezers that stay full; as well as a upright freezer that is packed down.  I believe in purchasing items with coupons when they are on sale so I can save MORE money.  This is one of the things that I teach in my coupon class.  Just think.....pretty soon this could be your grocery haul!
